Plant & Equipment plays a crucial role in executing large infrastructure projects. A competent team is deployed at all levels to maintain, operate, and service our plant & equipment. Construction Plant & Equipment (CPE) department is seen as a nerve center of the project execution and significant inputs are drawn from the CPE department during the project life cycle. CPE has demonstrated and implemented ample technological innovations and helped to achieve project completion on or before time. CPE adheres to strict safety standards and also actively participates in safety programmes.

Some of the equipment that we are proud to have in our fleet include:

AF SEP Samrat
AFCONS is proud to announce the latest entry of AF SEP Samrat (Self Elevating Platform) to its marine fleet. Subsequent to AFCONS’ entry in the global market, the company is expanding its marine fleet to compete...
Sahyadri Barge
AFCONS has in its possession a marine barge, which has a single lift capacity of 1200 tons designed and fabricated in-house. AFCONS is the only company in India to own such a barge.
High Capacity Cranes
Currently, crawler cranes ranging from about 20 to 350 ton (42 Nos) are available with AFCONS. A crawler is a crane mounted on an undercarriage with a set of tracks. The cranes provide stability and mobility. They ...

AF SEP Samrat
AFCONS is proud to announce the latest entry of AF SEP Samrat (Self Elevating Platform) to its marine fleet. Subsequent to AFCONS’ entry in the global market, the company is expanding its marine fleet to compete with the global contenders and aiming to be among the top 5 marine contractors in the world in the coming years.

AF SEP Samrat is built keeping an eye on the future - to a large extent in the sectors of marine construction & support industries and oil & gas sector. With the continued growth in construction activities and shallow water operations, this elevating platform aims to reduce time and increase operational excellence in the marine sector.

AFCONS tied-up with the company Drydocks World, Dubai, UAE, who has built this 45m long flat bottom pontoon barge, which can be jacked up with four spuds and jacking system with an elevated weight of approximately 2,928 tons. The vessel is equipped with a main crane and other equipments including mooring winches, two gensets, jacking systems, power packs, pumps and other miscellaneous equipments.

AF SEP Samrat has a turret mounted 600 tons capacity crane, which is only the second similar capacity Manitowoc crane on afloat, after US Army.

AFCONS is going to use this AF SEP Samrat equipment for the first time in India at the Marine Facilities for Standby Jetty project at Dahej for LNG Petronet standby jetty. This vessel is certified for use in international waters and also for offshore jobs. This will facilitate easy movement of the vessel especially in overseas markets.
High Capacity Cranes
Currently, crawler cranes ranging from about 20 to 350 ton (42 Nos) are available with AFCONS. A crawler is a crane mounted on an undercarriage with a set of tracks. The cranes provide stability and mobility. They can be move around on site and perform each lift with little set-up, as the crane is stable on its tracks with no outriggers. In addition, a crawler crane is capable of travelling with a load.

In addition, we have fleet of Telescopic RT & AT cranes (89 Nos.) ranging from 10 to 240 tons.

A telescopic crane has a boom that consists of a number of tubes fitted one inside the other. A hydraulic or other powered mechanism extends or retracts the tubes to increase or decrease the total length of the boom. The relative compactness of telescopic booms make them adaptable for many mobile applications, often of short duration.

AFCONS is amongst the top hundred ‘Largest Crane Owning Companies’ in the World.*

Earth Pressure Balance (EPB) Tunnel Boring Machines
AFCONS has taken the traditional EPB tunnelling machines designed to new levels of technology, reliability and production. Each EPB tunnel boring machine of AFCONS is specifically tailored according to project conditions from soft clay to gravel to mixed ground with rock.

AFCONS EPB tunnel boring machines have unique design features that optimise the machine for the geology. These machines are designed with active articulation to allow the machine to turn or steer with ease. During active articulation, thrust cylinders react evenly against the entire circumference of the tunnel lining, regardless of the tunnel alignment. The machine thrusts remain parallel to the tunnel while the articulation occurs between front and stationary bodies, thus eliminating the problem of tunnel lining deformation. This feature will enable the machine to negotiate effectively in challenging conditions.
