Mahatma Gandhi Setu in Patna, Bihar, has won the Best Construction Project award at the CIDC Vishwakarma Awards 2023. The 5.6km long MG Setu is India’s longest steel bridge. For the first time a superstructure of balanced cantilever bridge has been replaced with a simply-supported superstructure. The award was received by Mr Santosh Kumar Misra, Project Manager, at an award ceremony held in Delhi on April 12, 2023.
