Our Urban Infrastructure business vertical covers elevated and underground metro works, bridges, flyovers and elevated corridors. Since 1979, we have constructed several high-value projects, over 120 km of elevated and underground metro networks, over 150 bridges, viaducts and flyovers and 32 elevated and underground metro stations, across nine cities in India.
We were the 12th largest international contractor in the bridges segment based on International Revenue for the Financial Year 2024 and the only Indian company to feature in the top 25 in the 2024 ENR (Engineering News-Record, US) Top International Contractors rankings based on International Revenue for the Financial Year 2024.

Scope : Design and build of 103.7 Kms of Roads and Drainage system in Addu City, including 38 pumping stations, 370 CCTV, and 1.46km-long Hankede Bridge in the sea

Scope : Design and construction of underground stations and tunnel comprising of east ramp, twin bored underground Tunnel between east ramp and Kalupur metro station; all cut and cover portion, and, two underground stations Kankaria east and Kalupur for Ahmedabad Metro Project Phase-1

Scope : 10.8km elevated corridor (East-West) between Rani Jhansi Square to Lokmanya Nagar.
Afcons completed the project in record time of 28 months. Sitbauldi Interchange station was completed in a record time of 20 months. It is the highest Metro Interchange Station in India.

Afcons has constructed Asia’s longest double-decker viaduct (5.3km) in Reach-2, including India’s first four-level transportation corridor at Gaddigodam Railway crossing

Scope : 600m elevated corridor between Sitabuldi and Zero Mile station including
a 44m composite steel girder span.Â
Afcons completed the priority corridor in just three months, and, 211 days ahead of schedule. The 44m composite steel girder span over Govari flyover was placed in a record time.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics, University of Bombay, a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in law from Government Law College, University of Bombay. He has over 31 years of experience as an advocate on the rolls of the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa.
