Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg Package-2
Afcons was the first contractor to complete Pavement Quality Concrete (PQC) of an entire package (PKG-2) in Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg, and emerged as the first contractor to complete its work ahead of schedule. Here are some important facts & figures of this project
• 58.4km stretch from village Khadki Amgaon to village Pimpalgaon in Wardha district
• First package of Samruddhi Expressway to be completed ahead of schedule
• Design speed of 150kmph
• Highly structure intensive project: More than 200 structures
• 53 box culverts, 25 minor bridges, 19 vehicular underpasses, 12 pedestrian underpasses, 11 flyovers, five major bridges, two rail over bridges, two wildlife overpasses, two wildlife underpasses
• Country's first wildlife overpasses, one of the widest in Samruddhi Mahamarg and perhaps also in India
• Two wildlife overpasses with a pier height of 27m each
• 12km open hill cutting totalling 10 million cum
• 18 million cum of total earthwork
• 80m span steel structure erected on both carriageways for bow string bridge
• 315m-long major bridge over Wardha river completed in 14 months
• 330m-long six-lane flyover completed in 16 months
• 2 interchanges in the project with 1 interchange having a total length of over 13km
• 1 rotary with 46 slabs
